This is my set of informed opinions and points of issue on the Friday Night Tights Ryan Kinel dust up.
This post includes coarse, adult language.

Opinion 1: Though he is certainly functional and capable of many things, Gary is not all there. Sometimes his behavior confuses the point because he shows capability and knowledge and critical thinking. But it is fair to say he is both dealing with his own mental issues and the long term effects of past drug use at all times. I have given him passes for this continuously, it’s expected in my mind. I assume we all do, all of us who listen to him. I also believe in the long run, Gary will always do what he thinks is right assuming he had all the information to do that right thing at the time. Gary has already spoken in private and will speak more in future about his own point of view, which I await.
Opinion 2: Ryan has a certain hate following. His acerbic behavior may be considered accepted in a game wait room with many equally minded individuals but he has no history with DC in this context. You don’t go out in public, especially given a wide reaching soap box, and start talking about people or groups the way he did unless you are willing to accept the consequences of how that is seen by EVERYONE WHO CAN SEE IT. To that end, those who want to see fan movements (like our greater general group) fail, will use him and things like this as pry bars to break us apart. Thus, divide and conquer. Now, the wolves are circling seeking to do this very thing to our loosely connected group of people who are mainly joined in the belief of the concept of respecting lore and the fandom.
Opinion 3: I treat Ryan like a yapping dog when he isn’t speaking passionately on the EU or the Snyderverse so I let it pass when Rags and Az held the brakes to him. Considering the nature of the attack, I believe this would have landed better with DC if Gary participated in taking Ryan down a peg, or taking his own stance. I don’t believe with what I think of him that this is Gary’s way. But this is also why DC is going out of his way to talk to Gary and work things out. They have a working relationship, history, and some understanding.
However:
Point 1: Ryan referred to DC as “some fuckin’ dude” with information he obviously takes issue with before MauLer pulled the name out of him :: direct attack on DC, and his character from Ryan’s point of view. Don’t attack another youTuber. All slights may incite repercussions. How about critique them at length without hate or malice and with receipts.
Point 2: Ryan refereed to those who hang on DC’s every word, with other specifications, as “fucking retarded” :: direct attack on DC’s fan-base. (Where’s the respect of the fandom, even if only in part?) Don’t attack another youTuber’s fans. You might share some. You may always appeal to them or accept they don’t see things how you do.
Point 3: Ryan stated nothing DC reported as rumor came true, impugned that he misrepresents his sources, and in may cases they are only repeating the same thing, False: :: Don’t lie, or even misrepresent blatantly without at least wrapping your opinion in relative, subjective terms. During this time he is not specific about what rumors he is referring to, which breeds generalization to the whole of DC’s rumor content. Ryan does not know DC’s sources or lack thereof nor did he provide proof of this statement. Gary has stated DC has sources he knows of and that they are more numerous than Gary’s own. These following statements are historical but require a full scope of research for full proof. If you don’t, in fact, believe me, or that I am stating what I recall as fact, I invite you to prove me wrong with sources. DC reported on Star Trek Discovery and Picard production rumors, many points of which were found true. He reported points from story leaks in RoS, Disco, Picard and others that were found to be true. This last was fandom wide so it was not even uncommon. The rumors he tells now though they share several base points are different rumors about differing aspects of the same complex system which includes many similar players, “the same fucking thing” may make sense in this case, especially when you don’t watch the video and only listen to a recap as DC sets the stage for an update. Also, DC is releasing details as he corroborates various sources unless he says otherwise. DC, and Gary for that matter, have sat on rumors because there wasn’t even enough proof to proceed, to take the risk.
Point 4: Ryan compared and therefore connected the group of fans he referred to previously to being as deluded as those entrapped by the GeekyPixie individual. :: spurious defamation. This further derides DC’s fans as easily taken by a fly-trap account and compares DC to that fly-trap. Adding insult to slanderous injury as per both P1 and P2.
So, if you are a butt hurt youTuber (he shut up quickly when challenged) and sad that someone has actual sources and is getting attention for doing the work with their information, maybe you should suck it up rather than use a friend’s open speech policy on a platform that isn’t completely under his control to vent your frustrations.
It sounds like Ryan was angry as often seems to be the case (see FNT guest appearances) and made up a load of shit to make himself some outrage attention. Ryan, go run off some angry tweet to try to rally support for the Snyderverse from that Hollywood elite motherfucker who shit all over you and the rest of fandom while you and yours were supporting his cause and showing a united positive fandom’s passion and support.

[After a “KK Employment status skit” closes, with laughter and miscellaneous comments, Ryan is first to speak at length.]
[During skit, Az reports KK will eminently be fired when her contract runs out.]
Odin: And that was the update.
Gary: Thank you for the update.
Ryan: Like, if you actu’… like, if you actually believe like some fuckin’ dude who says he has like eight different sources and has said twenty-five different things and none of them have… literally, fucking none of them have come true and you continue to hang on his every word when he says ‘oh, another source came out and said 80% of what I’ve told you is true,’ you are fucking retarded if you can’t see that shit. You might as well go simp for GeekyPixie if you like (inaudible, laughter from the panel)
[At this point, Gary who is letting things roll and taking coffee occasionally, stops and gives a drawn out “Oooooh”]
Fringy: So I take it you don’t… you don’t buy it?
Ryan: No. It’s nothing to buy.
MauLer: Wait. Wait, are we… are we talking about a particular source here… or , or am I missing something?
Az: A tomato.
Ryan: Yeah. I, [I, I] I’m talk… I’m talking about if you like if if legitimately yeah if legitimately your just hanging on the every word of Doomcock every time he fucking comes with one of these different rumors about the same fucking thing over and over again, yeah I think that’s…
[Odin gives a -tsk- and appears to be about to speak up when DC is mentioned but holds.]
Rags: D’you have like a beef with him or somethin’? Are you…
Ryan: No. I just… I … beef…
Az: What’s the beef, Ryan?
Rags It sounds like you do…
Ryan: He…my beef, is that…
Az: Show me on the doll where he hurt you, Ryan…
Ryan He didn’t hurt me. But he (some unintelligible…)
Rags: Did he say you looked like a flash Gordon super villain or somethin’?
Ryan: Nooo.
[Miscellaneous chatter, laughter]
[Gary listens for a bit until Rags and Az are fully tearing into Ryan. He drinks coffee and once the laughter ensues and Ryan has resigned(?) he looks ready to speak but Jeremy steps in first.]
Rags: Show me on the doll where he touched you.
Jeremy: Uh, [At, at,] At the end of the day, I mean, we’ve all, I was, you know, for the longest, we’ve all hoped Kathleen Kennedy was gone. But I’ve come to the conclusion she’s not going any-fucking-where until she’s ready. And I think they’ve proven that. They’ve publicly… they… they publicly fired… ya they publicly fired Gina Carano and shamed her, at… at, at that point, if you had any faith that Disney was gonna move in a different direction I think that should have been the moment where… you know… everybody realized that… whatever fate that we had that this would get corrected it’s not happening, it’s just not.
[Discussion proceeds, the history of KK firing rumors. Nothing further is mentioned on ryan’s topic’s direction on the panel. There was some furor in the chat but I have no record of it and was not able to pay attention from work.]
