Fred the Farmer is having trouble getting some work done on his farm. He needs 20 balls of black wool from the black sheep on his farm. Seems some of his customers want black clothing because it "looks cool."

Agree to help and you will be able to shear the black sheep. Collect 20 bits of black wool. You can do a few at a time, but it's simpler to make room for 20 units in your inventory.

You dont need any white wool for this quest. Have a care around the rams. If you click on them accidentally you will attack them. You can't shear "The Thing." But what are those penguins doing under that sheep costume?

Spinning Dialog

There is a spinning wheel on the second floor of the Lumbridge castle. Use it to spin your wool into balls. Head back to the farm with your product!

Talk to Fred with your wool in hand (some or all). If you didn't get it all at once, keep the cycle going. When you have it all he pays you for your work.
  1. Talk to Fred. Agree to work for him.
  2. Enter the sheep paddock.
  3. With shears in your inventory, click (shear) only black sheep for 20 Black wool.
  4. Go to Lumbridge castle and up to the second floor.
  5. Use the spinning wheel in the south room to spin the wool into balls.
  6. Return to Fred at his farm.
  7. Talk to him, you will provide the wool and he will pay you.
