Father Aereck presides over the Lumbridge church of Saradomin. He has been troubled for some time by a persistent pest ... a ghost. The ghost haunts the mausoleum attached to the church's graveyard. He asks for your help in dismissing the unwanted guest. If you agree, he sends you to another priest with greater experience in dealing with troublesome dead folk, Father Uhrney. The reclusive man resides in a hut south of Lumbridge's swamp. |

The rather irascible priest will not welcome anyone pleasantly. If he had a stick he might even beat you about the head with it when you show up. When you mention you come calling in Father Aereck's stead things don't get any better. Basically, Father Uhrney knows what you need to communicate with the ghost, and he's upset that Father Aereck didn't do already what he's asked you to do. It sounds like the church priest is afraid of ghosts, or is an extraordinary procrastinator. Uhrney gives you an Amulet of ghostspeak. While wearing it, you can speak with any spirit (if it will let you). Now at least you have the ability to negotiate. If you had tried to speak to the ghost in the mausoleum before, all you would have heard was "Woo woowoo." Time to find out why the ghost is earthbound. If you ever lose the Amulet or intentionally drop it you can get a new one from Father Uhrney by asking for one. As long as you don't have one in the bank, you can ask for one, drop it ask for another, and so on. Then pick them all up. This lets you have several. |

Amulet of ghostspeak (worn) |
Go to the mausoleum and enter. There is a single coffin here. When you open the coffin the ghost appears. It doesn't take much to notice when you have the coffin opened that the skeleton inside is lacking its skull. When you start talking to the ghost it is first surprised that you can communicate. Turning the conversation to why he's haunting this place, he tells of how a warlock showed up one day and stole away with his head. The warlock headed south toward the mines there. If you can return his head he will be able to move on ... what's the world coming to, wacky skull stealing warlocks. |

Level 13 Warlock skeleton |
Actually the skull is easy to find. Just to the east of the mine is a large rock and under its south edge is a skull. Search the rocks to get the skull, but be warned. A level 13 warlock skeleton breaks through the ground and attacks. You can just take the skull and leave. There is no need to fight the skeleton. Fighting gives no combat experience. If you do, his attacks are not very powerful though a beginner player might need to be better prepared. Also if you fail to kill it in a short time, it will just disappear. |

Returning to the mausoleum, you open the coffin and use the skull on it to replace his head. The ghost is freed and he departs, disappearing over the River Lum.
