Infinite Use Debris

Throw one-shot items like potions and scrolls at walls until they become debris, pick up the debris and you can USE it as a scroll or potion with unlimited charges. Use the name spell on the debris to tell them apart and you can walk around with unlimited healing spells, mana, fireball and open spells.

Take the Bad and the Good

Here's a way to improve the quality of various items:First, take a good item and a bad item (eg. a scratched ruby and a flawless one), then talk to someone and put the GOOD item in your barter area. Then, drop the bad one on top of it. Now you have two good items. This also works with other items (including the light spheres, torches,etc.) Note: If you have lots of bad items, drop them on one at a time or the good one might turn into a bad one.
