Hostiles & Beasts

Game documentation goes into detail on these many hazardous beings. This document orders them in relative strength. Also any special key information obtained on each is included.

Combat is a most basic turn based system. Hostiles attempt to approach you in the straightest course possible. You can outrun them with faster transport. Hostiles have the advantage of attacking diagonally while the player character has only the four cardinal directions. Use geography to block and limit the number of your attackers. Missile attacks have a range of three units.

The Seas

  • Ness creature (51 HP)

  • Giant squid (71 HP)

  • Dragon turtle (91 HP) has a missile attack, fireballs

  • Pirate ship (111 HP) cannons for a missile attack

The Land

  • Thief (31 HP)

  • Hood (21 HP)

  • Bear (31 HP)

  • Hidden archer(51 HP), missile attack.

  • Dark knight (71 HP)

  • Evil trent (81 HP)

  • Orc (51 HP)

  • Knight (71 HP)

  • Necromancer (91 HP)

  • Evil ranger (101 HP)

  • Wandering warlock (111 HP), missile attack.

Dungeon hostiles are more varied than those on the surface. Though the interface is different, the nature of the combat is similar. One must be cautious because of the limited viewpoint. Watch out for passages where unseen enemies can hit you blind-side or flank you and attack from behind. Certain hostiles steal equipment. As you go down, the creatures become harder. This is more because of the damage they can do to you than how hard they are to kill.
